This policy covers Gold Coast Blocked Drains (goldcoastblockeddrains.com), run by Vertial Holdings Pty Ltd (ABN 72 629 494 926). We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
What we collect
When you call us or send the form, we collect:
- your name and mobile number
- your suburb, and your address if you give it
- what’s happening with your drain, how urgent it is, and the type of property
- whether you agree to us passing your details to a plumber
- for calls: a recording and a written transcript of the call
We also collect basic, anonymous website statistics (pages viewed, device type, country). These don’t identify you, and this site doesn’t use advertising or tracking cookies.
Why we collect it
To pass your enquiry to one licensed local plumber who can help, to keep a record of the referrals we make, and to bill the businesses we refer to.
Who we share it with
One plumbing business, only with your permission. We ask before we pass anything on. We don’t pass your details to more than one business for the same enquiry, and we never sell them to marketing lists.
Service providers that run our systems. These include our website host, email provider, phone provider and virtual-assistant provider. Some are based in, or store information in, the United States. They handle your information only to provide their service to us.
We may also disclose information where the law requires it.
How long we keep it
If we can’t place your enquiry with a plumber, we tell you and delete your details within 14 days. If we do place it, we keep a record of the referral, including the call recording, for up to 2 years so we can resolve disputes and bill correctly. Then we delete it.
Your choices
You can say no to us sharing your details. If you do, we can’t refer you, and we’ll delete what you gave us.
You can ask to see the information we hold about you, or ask us to correct or delete it. Email hello@goldcoastblockeddrains.com. We’ll reply within 30 days.
Complaints
If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your information, email us first and we’ll respond within 30 days. If you’re still not satisfied, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.
Changes
We’ll update this page if our practices change. The date at the top shows the latest version.
